And God gave us Grandkids

Updated: Apr 8

Lisa's grandson, Liam, is now 11 years old, and she holds the third spot as his favorite person in the world. In this challenging phase of her life, Lisa has learned to cherish memories as nothing new can replace the profound emotions that come with losing a loved one. Liam's parents deemed her unworthy due to their struggles with addiction, leaving Liam unaware of the absence of Nana's presence. Lisa's daughter comes from a lineage of resilient women and will eventually rise, remembering her strength and identity. Despite battling addiction throughout her adult life, her spirit remains strong. Lisa longs for her daughter, experiencing a void that echoes through family gatherings missed, presents unopened, parties without invitations. Her daughter remains connected through her Grandmother, sister, and father, unwilling to bridge the emotional/physical gap with her mother. The separation is painful, with missed occasions and unreturned gestures creating a heart-wrenching situation. This poignant quote illustrates the irreparable nature of some experiences...

Did it go back the way it was?
